Political World Module 5 : Self-Discovery System
Overview
This module connects political identity to the EA Self Discovery system.
This allows Sims to evolve their political ideology over time. Based on in-game behaviour and political engagement, Sims may shift beliefs or become Apolitical.
The Self Discovery System:
Your Sim’s political behavior is tracked and nudges them towards a compatible political trait. For example, a Sim who frequently protests, donates to charity, and discusses wealth redistribution may start leaning toward a more progressive or socialist identity.
Once a strong enough pattern emerges, the Sim will experience a “Self Discovery” moment, receiving a political trait and related buffs.
Examples :
A Sim who started out as conservative but spends most of their time protesting, supporting wealth redistribution and caring about social justice may gradually be pushed toward a more progressive or socialist aligned trait.
A Sim who originally identified as progressive but becomes obsessed with money, low taxes and personal freedom may drift toward a more libertarian or capitalist leaning trait.
Module Installation & Requirements Guidance
Required:
- EA Growing Together expansion pack (for Self-Discovery system)
Base Game Compatible: NO – This module requires the Growing Together pack to function.
How It Works:
The Self-Discovery system is a core feature of The Sims 4 Growing Together expansion pack. This module integrates political ideology discovery into that existing system.
Enable/Disable Options:
You can control this feature in two ways:
- Via EA Settings: Enable or disable Self-Discovery Moments through the game’s settings menu (this will affect all self-discovery content, not just political ideology)
- Remove the Module: Delete the Political World Self-Discovery module file to disable only the political ideology discovery feature while keeping other Growing Together self-discovery content active
Important Note:
This module will NOT work if EA’s Self-Discovery Moments setting has been turned off in game settings. Make sure Self-Discovery is enabled in your EA settings for this module to function.
