Claim My Crib - Assign Cribs & Toddler Beds.

Claim My Crib is a small family gameplay mod that helps caregivers use the correct crib or bed when putting infants, toddlers, and children to sleep.

Mod Features

Claim My Crib adds assignment options for:

  • Infant cribs
  • Toddler beds

For children

There is already an existing bed assignment system for children however this mod improves how adult Put to Bed interactions behave with assigned child beds.

Infant Crib Assignments

Infant cribs can be assigned in two ways.

Adult Assignment

Adults can assign a crib to an infant, via:

  1. Click on an infant crib.
  2. Select Assign Crib To.
  3. Choose the infant you want to assign to that crib.
  4. Once assigned, caregivers will automatically use that crib when putting the infant to sleep or placing the infant in a crib.

You can hover over the crib to see which infant it is assigned to.

Infant Claim

Infants can also claim a crib for themselves:

To claim a crib as an infant:

  1. Select the infant.
  2. Click on the crib.
  3. Select Claim Crib.

The crib will then be assigned to that infant.

Hover Tooltip

Assigned infant cribs and toddler beds include a hover tooltip showing who the crib or bed belongs to.

Toddler Bed Assignments

Infant cribs can be assigned in two ways.

Adult Assignment

Adults can assign a toddler bed to a toddler.

  1. To assign a toddler to a toddler bed:
  2. Click on a toddler bed with an adult Sim.
  3. Select Assign Toddler Bed To.
  4. Choose the toddler you want to assign to that bed.

Once assigned, caregivers should use that toddler bed when putting the toddler to bed.

 

Toddler Claim

Toddlers can also claim a toddler bed for themselves.

To claim a toddler bed as a toddler:

  1. Select the toddler.
  2. Click on the toddler bed.
  3. Select Claim Toddler Bed.
  4. The toddler bed will then be assigned to that toddler.

Hover Tooltip

Assigned infant cribs and toddler beds include a hover tooltip showing who the crib or bed belongs to.

Clearing Assignments

You can clear a crib or toddler bed assignment at any time

Click on the assigned crib or toddler bed.

Select Clear Assigned Crib or Clear Assigned Toddler Bed.

After clearing the assignment, that crib or toddler bed can be assigned to another Sim.

Children - Put To Bed Autonomy

When an adult clicks on a child’s assigned bed, the Put to Bed interaction should now only show for the child assigned to that bed, instead of offering every eligible child in the household.
