Hellooooo
Here is a first look at SOME of the features from the Dietary Lifestyles module in my upcoming mod, My Dietary Life.
I am trying not to turn these sneak peeks into full module breakdowns, so for now I am just sharing a few highlights rather than everything at once. There are honestly too many features to mention😅
Dietary Lifestyles Included 🥗✨
This module includes a range of different dietary lifestyles, which are designed to be either temporary or permanent depending on what each sim’s goals, desires, values, or food preferences.

🥬 EA’s Vegetarian trait
A little override I did for the existing vegetarian trait (and also lactose intolerant trait) is to remove them from the CAS menu. The vegetarian lifestyle will be assigned in the same menu as the other dietary lifestyles.
⭐ Dietary Lifestyle Commitment Tracker
Each lifestyle comes with its own commitment tracker, which rewards Sims based on how well they stick to their diet. Each lifestyle has its own unique benefits, which also includes health benefits tied to Adeepindigo’s Healthcare Redux, including both the public version and the Patreon version cancer module, so lifestyles can tie into wider health gameplay too.

💬 Lifestyle Prompts and Discovery
Lifestyles are NOT automatically assigned. They are either manually chosen OR Sims can also be introduced to them through gameplay, including prompts from friends or by inquiring about lifestyles on the computer.

Lifestyle Closeups!
🌱 Vegan Lifestyle
This may honestly be one of my favourite features in the entire mod. I KIND OF went a little off script with this one, because I feel like there are different levels to being a vegan. It IS a dietary lifestyle but kind of also a way of life as well I think with non-food rules too.
This lifestyle DOES NOT have the same food requirements as EA’s Vegetarian trait. Vegan food rules will include things like eggs, honey, non-plant based milk and any ingredient derived from animal products as well as certain activities that go against Vegan principles.
👗 Clothing Materials Requirement !!
For Vegan Sims, it is not just about what they eat. I have also added outfit related checks, so the clothing material of what a Vegan Sim is wearing can matter too.
Depending on Vegan sims level of commitment to the vegan lifestyle they will prefer not to wear clothes that are derived from silk, wool and leather. This is a feature that EA has had for a while but has never included as part of any gameplay. You can check your sims clothes materials via the CAS menu:

🐄 Animal Liberation
Again depending on the level of commitment to the vegan lifestyle, vegan sims will also be able to liberate farm animals from other sims who own them.

⏰ Intermittent Fasting
This lifestyle includes a variety of different fasting windows that players will be able to choose from, which gives players a few different ways to approach the lifestyle depending on how strict they want their Sim’s routine to be.

I will likely add more preset windows as part of future updates also.
⚠️ Warnings for Unsafe or Difficult Lifestyles
I have NOT hard blocked players from choosing certain lifestyles depending on circumstances, because I wanted to leave that freedom with the player. However, you will get clear warnings when a lifestyle may be unsafe for them or simply harder to maintain based on their circumstances.
For example, some lifestyles may be unsafe during pregnancy, while others may just be more challenging for Sims with certain dietary restrictions, preferences, or life stages.
As an example:

🧁 Additional CAS Trait – Dainty Eater
There is also an additional CAS trait that I have added “Dainty Eater”. This is not meant to be lifestyle, it’s mainly meant to be an eating style that is a direct opposite to the glutton trait. These sims basically avoid eating large meals and tend to prefer eating snacks, appetisers and smaller dishes.

Let me know what you think !! Thank you also for everyones support and wonderful comments and ideas its been lovely to see !💜
